Introduction to Graphic Communications

Introduction to Graphics students will be exposed to many of the broad aspects of the print graphics industry. They include graphic design, electonic pre-press, vinyl sign-cutting, offset printing, and screen printing. Students are guided through a series of individual projects while working at their own pace.

Computer Graphics

Computer Graphics students will work in-depth with the most current software in the graphic arts industry. Students create a series of projects using Adobe”s most current Creative Suite which includes Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.. Students will also work with Acrobat Pro and misc. digital printing and scanning software. Throughout the class students will learn proper graphic design principles, use of color, file formats, and proper output techniques.

Advanced Graphics

This class is designed for those students interested in taking their graphics skills to the next level. Students work with multi-color projects in both offset and screen-printing. They will work with pagination, poster design and production, and advanced printing techniques. Software include Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and other specialty software as needed. Laser engraving and advanced digital printing will also be explored.
Successful completion of Intro to Graphics and/or Computer Graphics is strongly recommended.
